Emergency private eye care is just a phone call away….
An Ophthalmologist is accessible Monday through Saturday to take urgent referrals directed by an Optometrist, Emergency Doctor or Primary Care Medical Practitioner.
BRISBANE EYE CLINIC IS HIGHLY SKILLED AND EXPERIENCED IN THE DELIVERY OF URGENT TREATMENT AND SURGERY FOR SIGHT THREATENING EYE CONDITIONS.
Our priority call centre is attended Monday to Saturday between 8am – 4pm.
Outside these hours a Remote On Call service is accessible through the step down call centre.
Emergent eye care services are restricted to sudden onset vision loss (less than 24 hours) involving the central or peripheral visual field, large retinal tears or confirmed retinal detachments, severe eye pain associated with significant loss of vision and the sudden onset of double vision where the eye condition has been assessed as serious by a Doctor or Optometrist.

Consulting Fees are charged at Private rates and fees are only partly rebateable from Medicare. Surgery is performed in Private Hospitals for patients with Private Health insurance.
We do not offer Bulk Billing services which means that out of pocket expenses are payable.
In addition to your initial consultation fee, further diagnostic tests or surgical treatments may be required.

To access Government funded Medicare rebates and Private health insurance cover patients require a written referral from a doctor or optometrist.
