Dr Ankita Kothari
Dr. Ankita Kothari is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract surgery, pterygium management, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and macular degeneration. Holding qualifications of MBBS, DNB, and FRANZCO, Dr. A K brings a strong academic foundation and broad clinical expertise to patient care.
Dr. A K has gained extensive experience across all ophthalmic subspecialties in major public hospitals in Brisbane and Perth, in addition to several years of prior overseas clinical experience. This background has contributed to a strong, well-rounded approach to the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ocular conditions.
Dr. A K currently holds public appointments at STARS and Redlands Bay Hospital and has a strong interest in medical education, actively participating in the teaching and supervision of junior medical trainees. Dr. A K also actively participates in advanced learning through continuous medical education to remain up to date with evolving evidence-based practices and surgical techniques.
Outside of ophthalmology, Dr. A K enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures.
